The Information Systems Division works in collaboration with programs and county agencies, to provide solutions to systems that assist families access essentials such as, but not limited to, medical services, care providers, groceries, and transportation.


Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the incumbent acts as a technical lead and developer supporting critical systems for the Disability Determination Service Division (DDSD) and broader California Department of Social Services (CDSS) programs. The incumbent performs full-life cycle web application development, maintenance, and production support. The incumbent will also provide software testing, resolve any complex technical issues in both modern and legacy mainframe environments, maintain databases, and execute batch processes.

Working Conditions
In office requires staff to be assigned to California Department of Social Services (CDSS) 744 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Position has a hybrid telework schedule which can be subject to change.

This work location is very convenient! This location is two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer's markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.


This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.
