About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Commercial & Privacy to lead its commercial legal team and serve as the primary privacy counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and leading a team of commercial professionals, driving continuous improvement in commercial operations, and developing and maintaining commercial and privacy playbooks. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong understanding of a channel-lead SaaS-enabled business model, extensive experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, and a proven track record in privacy and data protection law. The VP will also be a core member of the legal leadership team, partnering with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with global privacy and data protection laws. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, at least 10 years of legal experience, and a preference for those with a CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification. The role demands excellent business judgment, a practical approach to legal counseling, and a demonstrated AI-first mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in global public sector contracting and a background in leading privacy compliance programs. Responsibilities include owning the company's privacy program, serving as the primary contact for privacy and data incidents, and leveraging AI tools to enhance commercial operations.
