Job Description
The Designer, Design Engineer develops industrial equipment from initial concept through production launch. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role supports concept development, detailed design, validation, and manufacturing coordination while collaborating with suppliers and fabrication partners. The position offers growth opportunities toward Senior Design Engineer and engineering management roles.
Responsibilities
- Develop concepts for industrial equipment and translate them into practical designs.
- Create and maintain CAD models using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.
- Prepare design documentation and detailed technical drawings.
- Develop prototypes and support design validation activities.
- Select materials appropriate to product performance and manufacturing needs.
- Support designs from initial development through production launch.
- Coordinate with suppliers and fabrication partners to support manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in design engineering.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D modeling.
- Proficiency in technical drawing.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
