Stretcher Van DriverJob Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various driving roles, including shuttle driving, delivery driving, and paratransit services. As a Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation for passengers while providing excellent customer service and maintaining the vehicle in optimal condition.Responsibilities:Operate vehicles such as shuttles, buses and delivery vans to transport passengers or safely and efficiently.Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a comfortable travel experience.Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues promptly.Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a punctual schedule.Manage the loading and unloading of cargo or passengers, including heavy lifting as required.Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.Collaborate with dispatchers to receive instructions on routes and schedules while remaining flexible to changes as needed.Foster a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and contributing to a culture of safety and respect.Skills:Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or related roles with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.Familiarity with paratransit services is preferred; experience with school bus driving is an asset.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, team members, and management.Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks when required during loading and unloading processes.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while adhering to schedules.Valid driver's license (DL) is required; additional certifications for specific vehicle types are advantageous.Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance tasks is preferred to ensure optimal vehicle performance.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeBenefits:Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftDay shiftNight shiftOvertimeWork Location: In person
