CT Technologist

Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and supporting patient care at a healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety standards. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image clarity and minimize radiation exposure (ALARA). Prepare and maintain equipment and rooms, ensure infection control, and report equipment issues promptly. Obtain clinical histories, verify orders, and screen patients for contraindications. Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and provide age-appropriate care to ensure comfort and safety. Administer contrast agents via venipuncture when needed, and position patients accurately. Review images for quality, repeat or correct as necessary, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment and crash carts. Organize workflows, support departmental operations, maintain a clean environment, and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications including ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association. Core Competencies Technical proficiency in CT imaging, patient communication, infection control, and safety protocols. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team. Strong attention to detail in image review and documentation.
