Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Housekeeper to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in resident apartment homes and throughout the community. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of housekeeping functions, including but not limited to, general cleaning/disinfecting, vacuuming, mopping, spot cleaning, dusting. Perform scheduled residential apartment cleanings, including vacant and non-vacant units or model suites. Assist with cleaning public areas, offices, and residential building corridors. Assist with resident activities setups and breakdowns and any residents request. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED. Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or janitorial experience (6+ months) preferred. Strong customer service and hospitality mindset. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English, and communicate effectively with residents. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Physical Requirements Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day. Ability to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. Ability to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently. Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances. Ability to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV, and hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
