Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:
Responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiography procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality cardiac images. Collaborates with cardiologists to facilitate accurate diagnosis and patient care through precise imaging and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Operate echocardiography equipment including on/off controls, imaging, annotation, and labeling of views.
• Utilize color Doppler, spectral Doppler, power Doppler, and M-mode to capture comprehensive cardiac images.
• Perform various echo exams such as standard, limited, stress, and transesophageal procedures, ensuring image quality for interpretation.
• Document procedures accurately within electronic medical records and communicate findings effectively.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment, including TEE probes, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Follow workflow procedures, including scheduling, patient interaction, and referral management, ensuring seamless exam coordination.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience.
• Valid credential: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong proficiency in using Synapse Echocardiography and PACS systems.
• Ability to evaluate image quality, troubleshoot equipment, and perform portable exams as needed.
• Effective communication skills for patient interaction and coordination with healthcare team.
