These hybrid roles offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted legal advisor on complex commercial real estate title insurance matters, providing title insurance underwriting guidance, risk analysis, and transactional support to internal teams, agents, and customers.The positions are ideal for a seasoned attorney who brings deep knowledge of real estate law, title insurance underwriting, and regulatory compliance, along with a collaborative and solutions‑oriented mindset. The successful candidates will bring strong judgment, customer-centric communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse pipeline of commercial transactions while applying title insurance underwriting standards and company guidelines.Candidate ProfileJD from anABA-accredited law school required.Active Bar Admissionin Connecticut, in good standing.5+ years of substantive experience in title insurance underwriting or comparable commercial real estate experience in a law firm setting.General understanding of the process of title insurance underwriting real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policies.Ability tointerpret and apply title insurance underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limitsSolid understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of CT real estate transactions, title and settlement processes.Must be familiar with applicable Connecticut real estate law, including federal and state regulations.Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and externally, with clients and others.Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage significant transaction volume, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up in a timely manner.Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.Effective communicator with strong negotiation skills, who can deliver guidance with clarity, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, with the ability to assess risk and provide practical solutions.Collaborative mindset with ability to act decisively when needed.Creative, solution-oriented approach to resolving complex title challenges.Ability to work hybrid 4 days a week office, initially.
