Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital is seeking a Boart Certified/Board Eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Pain Management Physician to join our growing team in Muncie, Indiana. This is a high-volume, procedure-focused opportunity for a physician passionate about restoring function, improving quality of life, and reducing reliance on long-term pharmacotherapy. The practice emphasizes evidence-based, minimally invasive care through advanced interventional pain management techniques and coordinated multidisciplinary treatment plans. Job Highlights High-volume interventional pain management practice Strong focus on fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures Hospital based consultation and outpatient procedural practice Dedicated support from advanced practice providers and clinical staff Collaborative environment with neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, primary care, and rehabilitation services Established referral network throughout East Central Indiana Emphasis on non-opioid, function-focused pain management strategies Access to state-of-the-art imaging and procedural equipment Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations. Review and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including MRI, CT, and X-ray. Identify pain generators and establish accurate diagnoses for acute and chronic pain conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans focus on functional restoration and improved quality of life. Perform and broad range of image-guided procedures, including: Epidural steroid injections Selective nerve root blocks Facet joint injections Medial branch blocks Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) Sacroiliac joint injections Peripheral joint injections Trigger point injections Ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures Spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trials and management Other minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided interventions Qualifications MD / DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R Fellowship training in Pain Medicine or Interventional Spine/Pain Management preferred Eligible for Indiana medical licensure DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing eligibility Community Description Enjoy an affordable cost of living in Muncie, Indiana, while taking advantage of the many world-class amenities this community has to offer.
