Job Title: Receiving Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The Receiving Warehouse Associate supports all aspects of warehouse operations on a full-time basis during first shift. This role focuses on accurately picking, packing, and delivering parts, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring materials are properly handled and stored. It is ideal for a punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a team-oriented, climate-controlled electronic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill production orders from the main warehouse location with accuracy and timeliness.
• Pick parts and deliver requested materials to designated areas within the facility.
• Identify and label materials clearly and record proper warehouse locations to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Replenish primary stock locations to ensure materials are readily available for production needs.
• Perform and report inventory cycle counts to support reliable stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Complete a daily mail run between buildings to support internal material and document flow.
• Conduct light housekeeping and basic maintenance in warehouse areas to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Prepare and crate finished assembled products for shipment or storage, ensuring proper packaging and handling.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and rolling ladders, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use RF scanners and basic computer systems as needed to support order picking, inventory tracking, and documentation.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a warehouse or material handling environment, including order picking and packing.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, with pallet jack operation strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems; experience with Oracle or SAP ERP systems is helpful.
• Basic computer skills, including email use and typing, to support inventory and communication tasks.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple orders and priorities effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain clear, professional communication.
• Capability to use RF scanners for picking, inventory, and order pulling tasks.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and agile work style with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
• Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach overhead, and reach forward as required to handle materials.
• Comfort with climbing a rolling ladder up to 14 feet to access elevated storage locations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle, Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP, SAP ERP, or SAP systems in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Prior use of RF scanners for material handling, picking, and inventory control.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing or a similar production-focused warehouse environment.
• Experience in order pulling, packing, and material handling in a climate-controlled facility.
• Ability to work with minimal computer-based planning tools, focusing on manual order picking without MRP systems.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
• Temp-to-hire mindset with a desire to grow into a long-term opportunity.

Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse within an electronic manufacturing facility. The standard schedule is first shift, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional variability in hours as operational needs require. The work involves frequent standing and walking, regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, and routine squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead and forward. You will climb rolling ladders up to 14 feet to access high storage locations and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Work is primarily hands-on, focused on picking orders manually without heavy reliance on MRP systems, while using RF scanners and basic computer tools as needed. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, supporting efficient warehouse and production operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
