This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with one set weekday off and weekends off. Example: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 AM 6:30 PM Occasional holidays are required Up to $5000.00 sign on bonus , commensurate with experience and licensure!! As a Licensed Veterinary Technician in our Ophthalmology department , you ll work closely with specialists and clinicians across departments to deliver accurate, high-quality care. Perform and document Schirmer tear tests, tonometry, and fluorescein staining. Assist with ocular ultrasound, imaging, and other specialized diagnostics. Prepare patients for ophthalmic procedures and surgery. Monitor patients during anesthesia, procedures, and recovery. Maintain ophthalmic instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate findings with the veterinary team. Support hospitalized ophthalmology patients and monitor changes in ocular condition. Accurately draw up, calculate, and administer medications, maintaining patient safety Utilize and maintain all monitoring equipment and troubleshoot when needed Perform daily and weekly maintenance of anesthesia and imaging equipment Coordinate ophthalmology needs from other departments Uphold standards related to safety, infection control, and OSHA protocols Serve as a patient advocate, maintaining accurate treatment and anesthesia records A positive attitude and commitment to helping pets live their best lives Come join PVESC and be a part of something truly special where you ll not only help patients and clients, but also grow , learn , and make a lasting difference every day .
