About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred, Level 1 Trauma Experience preferred License: Valid Michigan RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and with general emergency department procedures Description: ASAP start desired. Call requirement: None. Weekend requirement: Will work every other weekend and holidays. No holiday requests for Christmas holidays; may submit for one holiday day off. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census averages around 260 patients, with the unit having a total of 49 rooms and 59 beds. Interdisciplinary support is available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred. No call required; floating is not needed. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS, along with preferred certifications of ENPC and TNCC. Compliance is expected with all relevant requirements prior to hiring. References at a supervisor level are required. Modules are self-reported and completed annually.
