Tool Room Machinist - $28-$35/hr, Mon-Fri Days (02703)

Adecco Staffing is partnering with a local manufacturer in East Providence, RI seeking a 1st shift Tool Room Machinist. The schedule will be 8AM-4:30PM Mon-Fri and the pay range for this role will be I. BASIC FUNCTIONS:• Set up and operate all tool room equipment such as lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, and drill presses.• Understand and operate various types of presses, including power presses, transfer presses, and assembly equipment.II. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Maintain a safe and functional work area.• Use all required safety guarding and PPE.• Follow all company policies and security procedures.• Support all ISO initiatives and documentation procedures.• Responsible for proper care and handling of equipment and materials.• Responsible for all materials signed out to you.• Must be flexible and willing to cross-train.III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:• Have previous machine shop experience or a formal apprenticeship.• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.• Reliable and self-motivated.• Demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively with others.• Understand metals and metalworking processes.• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.• Able to pay close attention to detail.• Must be able to read and use micrometers, calipers, blueprints, and related measuring tools.• Responsible for the quality and outcome of assigned products and projects.If interested in this opportunity please apply with an updated resume today!
