Job Description
Incendia Partners is partnering with a Fortune 500 employer headquartered in Richmond to identify a Senior Accountant for its Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team. This is a corporate accounting position focused on technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, with opportunities to support strategic financial analysis and process improvements.\n

Compensation: Base salary of $100-$119K plus 10% annual bonus and 13-17% annual profit sharing, for total compensation of up to $150K.

- Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting analyses \n
- Assist with SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures \n
- Prepare accounting memos and technical documentation \n
- Support adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance \n
- Assist with SOX compliance and disclosure controls \n
- Partner with finance and business leaders on complex transactions \n
- Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement \n
- Collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams \n

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance \n
- CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred \n
- 4+ years of accounting experience \n
- Experience with technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or public company financial reporting \n
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP \n
- SOX and financial reporting experience preferred \n
