Vehicle Lubrication/inspection-Technician

BC Automotive

Job Description

Job Description

Join a team where hands-on skill meets steady growth. As a Vehicle Lubrication and Inspection Technician, you will keep vehicles running safely and reliably by performing essential preventive maintenance and thorough inspections. This is a role where motivated people truly thrive, whether you are early in your automotive career or looking to sharpen the skills you already have.

About the Role

In this position, you will be the first line of care for every vehicle that comes through our service bays. You will handle routine lubrication services, fluid checks, and multi-point inspections that help customers avoid bigger problems down the road. We believe technicians thrive when they are given the training, tools, and support to do their best work, and that belief shapes how we run our shop every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform oil changes, lubrication services, and fluid level checks according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings for service advisors and customers.
  • Inspect belts, hoses, filters, tires, and brakes, noting wear and recommending service when appropriate.
  • Replace oil filters, air filters, wiper blades, and other maintenance components.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked to help the whole team thrive during busy shifts.
  • Communicate clearly with technicians and service staff to keep repairs moving efficiently.
  • Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of fluids and waste materials.
Qualifications

We are looking for dependable people who take pride in careful, accurate work. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced shop and enjoy learning something new on a regular basis.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior automotive, lubrication, or quick-lube experience is helpful, though we are glad to train motivated beginners.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle systems and common hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow inspection checklists precisely.
  • Good communication skills and a team-first attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to safely move vehicles in and out of service bays.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout a shift.
Why You'll Grow Here

We invest in the people who keep our shop moving. With mentorship from experienced technicians and exposure to a wide range of vehicles, you will build a foundation that supports a long automotive career and helps you thrive well beyond your first day.
