Our client, a leading Insurance Company is looking for Events Planner and This is for an initial duration of 06 Months Contract - Remote Role

• Open to any location.
• There will be no travel for this role.
• Support the planning and of our presence at State Optometric Association events in partnership with (and with direction from) the internal event planning team.
• Daily planning, shipping logistics, tracking of information, building event briefs, ordering booths and working with vendors and association contacts to ensure our sales teams are set up for success, facilitating pre-alignment calls for events with key reps and contacts.
• Day to day works with event planners on Experiential Marketing team + Regional Manager(s) who attend these events + external event contacts

Basic preferred skills:

• Strategic event planning, logistics, execution o Experience working with associations and event groups is a plus
• Experience working with vendors and third-party event groups for event execution (booth builds, labor, etc.)
• Healthcare or optical industry is a plus o Event sponsorship awareness and experience (mainly executing on sponsorship opportunities like booth space, branding, etc.)
• Software/Tools: Asana, Microsoft suite, Sharepoint
• Stellar organization skills, expense tracking, event processes, etc.
• Collaborative and able to confidently lead calls with key contacts and give updates and direction very much a behind the scenes support role with no travel or onsite needs.
• Key things that I am looking for is being sure this person is highly organized and efficient and comfortable leading alignment and final alignment calls with our sales team.

Job Description

• Plan and execute events that support the goals of the enterprise.
• Ensure successful execution of event from start to post-event evaluations.
• Plans and executes events, such as marketing and sales conferences, trade shows and customer related events
• Directs logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations
• Procures vendor services
• Works with facility, exhibit set-up, equipment and catering requirements
• Provides on-site event support
• Research potential event locations and evaluate alternatives
• Prepares and tracks budgets, provides periodic progress reports for each event project
• Conducts post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved upon
• Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties

Job Specifications

• Typically has the following skills or abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, hospitality or related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in an event planner-oriented position
• Keen attention to detail and follow up / follow through are a must for this position
• Proficiency in Excel, PPT, Microsoft office
• Experience in budget and planning
• Experience managing all phases of multiple projects simultaneously, and adjust to continuously changing responsibilities and priorities
• Excellent communications skills
• Must be available to travel as needed

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $30-32 per hour.
