Job Description At Main Event, the Dishwasher position is vital to the overall cleanliness of the building and the safety of our guests and staff. The Dishwasher staff is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all dishes, flatware, utensils, and kitchenware, as well as maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment. Responsibilities Clean, sanitize, wash, dry, and stack all dishware, flatware, and glassware. Carefully sort all dishware and flatware to prevent loss or disposal. Clean and sanitize kitchen pots, pans, utensils, and other equipment. Operate all dishwasher and kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Use chemicals appropriately in correct quantities for safety and cost control. Empty trash, clean, and maintain trash cans. Assist other kitchen staff with line maintenance, sweeping, and clearing dirty dishes. Assist with prep, banquet items, pressure point relief, and line maintenance as directed by management. Maintain kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls, drains, and mats. Assist in maintaining kitchen storage areas, cleanliness, and stocking. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all team members to foster a cooperative and harmonious workplace. Qualifications Must be friendly and able to smile a lot while working days, nights, and/or weekends as required. Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members. Disciplined, self‑motivated, and able to follow instructions. Observes dress guidelines and maintains a neat, clean, and professional appearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
