RN Orthopedic Neurology Unit

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care on the Ortho/Neuro Unit during night shifts. The nurse will utilize the nursing process in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care, administer medications and treatments, document accurately, and develop individualized care plans. Strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Education verification as required.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and nursing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in orthopedic and neurological nursing care.
• Previous experience working night shifts in a hospital setting.
• Participation in shared governance or quality improvement initiatives.

Special Considerations:

• Position requires working every other weekend and holidays.
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• May require floating to other units as a travel RN.

Scheduling:

• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
