DevSecOps Developer (Charlotte Metro)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology firm, is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Developer to support a major cloud modernization and architectural re-platforming initiative.

Position Summary

The Senior DevSecOps Developer will play a key role in modernizing cloud infrastructure, developing AWS-based ETL pipelines, and supporting end-to-end module implementations. This individual will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure efficient data processing, strong cloud security practices, and adherence to architectural best practices.

Position Details:

• Location: Charlotte, NC preferred (3 days onsite per week); remote opportunities available
• Contract Duration: October/November 2026 through June 2027
• Schedule: Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours
• Pay Rate: $75/hour

What Type of Experience Does the Right Candidate Have?

• Strong hands-on DevSecOps experience, including secure development practices, cloud security, and Git-based workflows.
• Proven experience developing AWS-based ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Amazon S3 .
• Experience managing end-to-end data processing, transformation, and loading workflows.
• Proficiency with Snowflake and PostgreSQL , including data storage, querying, and integration.
• Understanding of cloud architecture principles, data lineage, and scalable application development.
• Strong experience working across development, security, and operations functions.
• Prior experience with Axiom development , particularly for FFIEC 031, FR Y-9C, or FR 2052a regulatory reporting, is a plus.

What Are the Responsibilities of the Right Candidate?

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based ETL pipelines using Glue and S3 to support data processing and integration.
• Support architectural re-platforming efforts to establish a foundation for new module development and implementation.
• Develop and implement new modules from end to end, ensuring reliable data transformation, loading, and system integration.
• Work with Snowflake and PostgreSQL to manage, query, and optimize data across cloud-based environments.
• Apply DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle, including cloud security, Git workflows, and architecture standards.
• Maintain accurate data lineage and support data integrity across processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient technical solutions.
