This position is in the Pharmacy department at the Veterans Home of California, Yountville and is responsible for pharmacy related functions that involve packaging, manipulative, repetitive and other nondiscretionary tasks. Job duties include preparing medication for dispensing and filling prescriptions. Administrative duties include ordering and control of inventory, input of physician orders, customer service, communication, delivery of approved medications, and coordination of billing benefits to ensure correct medications are provided and payment is received.

• The position(s) require(s) a(n) Certification for Pharmacy Technician Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.

Veterans may qualify for a CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678). The application package must include documentation of discharge, appropriate to the branch of service. The documentation must reflect a discharge/release under conditions other than dishonorable.
