Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist Location: Bowie, MD Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm; every other Saturday 7:00am - 11:00am Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Travel to additional sites as needed, reliable transportation Compensation Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour Benefits Eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan for employees scheduled 20+ hours per week EEO Statement Labcorp Is Proud To Be An Equal Opportunity Employer.
