Step into an impactful role serving high school students as a Special Education Coordinator on a part-time contract basis, offering flexible hours to fit your schedule. This position provides essential leadership and compliance support to ensure high standards are met for students and staff engaged in Special Education programming near Canton and Dearborn, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert leadership for high school Special Education programs
- Guide and support special education teams with IEP, REED, and MET processes
- Oversee the development, review, and compliance of Special Education paperwork in accordance with Michigan requirements
- Serve as the go-to resource for Michigan Special Education law and compliance questions
- Help design and implement best practices for program effectiveness and student support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Michigan Special Education Certification
- Michigan Administrative Certification
- Direct experience supporting Special Education at the high school level
- Comprehensive understanding of Michigan Special Education regulations
- Leadership background in a coordinator or supervisory Special Education role
- Proficiency in managing IEPs, REEDs, METs, and related state-mandated procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
