Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Burn ICU, ensuring optimal outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate patient interaction. This role involves working within a dynamic, technology-equipped environment dedicated to burn and critical care patients.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
  
  
• 
  Operate specialized equipment including ventilators and CRRT machines.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress accurately in the Meditech system and communicate effectively with healthcare team.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations in the ICU setting.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with charge RNs, PCTs, and other staff to ensure seamless unit operations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license as required by state regulations.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU, med/surg, or PCU experience.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated proficiency with ventilators, specialty beds, and critical care procedures.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work a schedule including a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per rotation.
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
