Responsibilities Provide veterinary services in Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care hospitals according to the scope of each setting (wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement for Vaccination Clinics; preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, dental procedures for Total Care). Support operations within an appointment-based model; collaborate with trained staff to ensure efficient patient flow and on-time departures. Maintain high standards of patient care and safety; stay informed about clinic policies and product announcements. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in good standing (state) Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including blood draws and vaccine administration DEA registration in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts Ability to maintain Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates Additional information Illinois state bid rates average $131.00–$164.00/hr.
