Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator-- Must have experience as a VAD Coordinator Shift: 5x8Hs 7am-330p (or 630a-3p) - Monday - Friday. Prefer a minimum of 1 year clinical work experience in managing advanced heart failure patients. *** 1 year CTICU is a plus ** First-timers accepted: yes License REQ: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License in hand Certs REQ: BLS Experience Required: Durable MCS (HM 3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, Impella Devices ***VAD coordinator - needs to have strong cardiac background and VAD, IABP and IMPELLA exp The role of this individual will be to round on both inpatient/outpatient individuals. They are to service/troubleshoot devices both inpatient and in clinic. They are considered SMEs. They NEED to have appropriate knowledge of the devices and feel comfortable with them. Open to accommodating block schedule? Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs. Local radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holidays will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 820 Scrub Color: All RNs - Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal blue bottoms. Charting: EPIC Parking Cost: Parking management office (located 91presidents street) to obtain parking permit. $20 registration fee for a hang tag which will allow use of the garage. No additional fees. Hang tag will not cover parking in any other locations. If parking outside of the 91 Street Parking Garage, additional fees may be incurred.
