Part-time Admissions Specialist

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Part Time Admissions Administrative Specialist is a part-time 25 hours per week position and is responsible for key functions in the admissions process and maintaining and operating office and ID printing equipment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy. This position will pay $15.00 per hour.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process admissions application data into the student information system.
• Preform quality assurance checks to ensure that data from the admissions applications is migrating appropriately.
• Troubleshoot when admissions application data is in suspense or missing and communicating to the appropriate people to resolve the issue(s).
• Oversee printing and reprinting of admissions acceptance letters and maintain returned mail processes.
• Data entry and file keeping for admissions documents to help applicants complete their admissions process including test scores, GED data, and transcript data, and occasionally immunization records.
• Maintain applicant checklists to ensure the applicant knows where they are in the admissions process.
• Communicate with prospective students and applicants about important dates and deadlines, missing applications data or documents, and information regarding the enrollment process through means of email, phone calls or text messages.
• Operate the ID printing machine and maintain the inventory of ID machine supplies and vehicle decals.
• Assist with recruitment events when necessary.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Slate, or other data management or CRM platforms is preferred.

Education and Experience:

• The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus one year of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Prolonged screen time.
