Data Collector

Overview

The Data Collector is responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to public perception, media coverage, and brand reputation. This role supports the Public Relations team by providing accurate insights that help shape communication strategies and protect the company’s image.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect data from multiple sources including social media platforms, news outlets, surveys, and internal databases
• Monitor online mentions, reviews, and public sentiment about the company
• Track media coverage and compile reports on brand visibility and reputation
• Maintain accurate and organized records of collected data
• Analyze trends and patterns to support PR campaigns and decision-making
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the PR team
• Assist in crisis monitoring by identifying negative publicity or emerging issues early
• Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
• Familiarity with social media platforms and media monitoring tools
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Required Certifications:

No certifications required; however, training in office administration is an advantage.

Salary/Compensation: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
