Plumber (Lambuth Campus)

Qualifications High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of appropriate experience. Must have Backflow Preventer Certification or obtain within 6 months from date of hire. Must have valid Driver’s license. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time Responsibilities Monitor plumbing work done by outside contractors to ensure compliance with University standards. Perform installation and repair work on special systems including high pressure air, water filtration, and commercial washers/dryers as required. Perform some minor general maintenance work. Review blueprints and inspects job site; consults with client; determines appropriate method of doing project. Troubleshoot problems in plumbing systems; replaces or repairs fixtures, pumps, drains, and hot water heaters. Attends meetings, briefings, and training classes to increase knowledge and job performance. Cleans work area; cleans and maintains tools and equipment. Estimate types and amounts of materials needed for job; orders materials. Install complete plumbing systems into buildings and in remodeling jobs.
