ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Verify raw materials for common use among other TG plants. If new component for TGKY, set up in JDE and assign Kanban. Place code in system to alert Purchasing to prepare for blank PO.
  2. Set up sub-assemblies, line items, routing and BOM’s for new and existing products.
  3. Review process plans and data for accuracy.
  4. Assist Purchasing, Accounting and other departments pertaining to accurate information and cost issues within the JDE system.
  5. Assist Technical Engineers in completing process plans for performance and history of parts.
  6. Review PCR, ECI and QTR’s.
  7. Make changes in the system according to the PCR documentation and per work instructions.
  8. Compile regular reports as requested for department and management review such as budgetary, tamazume tracking, team member absences, and emergency contact information.
  9. Order materials, components, and any other items for JDE approval
  10. Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Clear, concise written and verbal skills and problem-solving skills required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively after groups of team members.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Experience using Microsoft office systems, Excel and Word

JDE experience a plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is necessary. The ability to express numbers as a decimal, convert numbers into percentages and from percentages to whole numbers, ability to express numbers as a fraction and perform basic math operations using positive and negative numbers and as ratios or averages. Ability to create charts and graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
