Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

12-hour days, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with intermediate care needs. You will actively contribute to a collaborative environment, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to patients requiring intermediate level monitoring and management.
• Adhere to patient care protocols including medication administration and monitoring vital signs.
• Utilize the EMR system (Sunrise) for accurate charting and patient monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including charge nurses, clinical assistants, and IV teams.
• Maintain a patient ratio of up to 1:5, with occasional higher ratios as required.
• Manage and titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro as per patient care plans.
• Conduct rounds and participate in patient assessments and care planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure (unexpired) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and the ability to interpret cardiac strips.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
