Assembler Location: Dexter, MI 48130 Duration: 1-Year Contract+ Schedule: Monday - Friday 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM — $18.50/hour Some days may require a 5:00 AM start. Saturday overtime may be scheduled from 6:0 AM–2:00 PM. 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM — $20.00/hour Overview The Assembler performs production assembly work on electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies. This position involves small-part assembly, following detailed work instructions and diagrams, using hand and power tools, performing quality checks, and completing rework or modifications when necessary. Required Skills Strong attention to detail. Precise fine motor skills and manual dexterity. Small-part assembly experience or ability. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work accurately in a production environment. Preferred Skills Basic computer skills. Cleanroom experience. SAP experience. Responsibilities Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Assemble components such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Follow visual aids, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, layouts, and written or verbal assembly instructions. Set up initial layouts and use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and other assembly equipment. Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. Conduct quality inspections according to established specifications. Identify assembly or quality issues and complete necessary rework. Disassemble, modify, reassemble, and test assemblies and subassemblies as required. Follow established production systems, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
