You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect, develop, and optimize microservices-based applications that drive business value and innovation.Your ImpactDesign and implement Java-based microservices architectures that are scalable, resilient, and high-performing.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure best practices in microservices development, including API design, security, and observability.Optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration with cloud-native technologies.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in Java, microservices, and cloud computing to drive continuous improvement.Skills & Experience8+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on microservices architecture.Proven expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and other Java-based frameworks for building microservices.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.Set Yourself Apart WithCertifications in Java, Spring, or cloud platforms (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, etc.).Experience with serverless computing and event-driven microservices.Knowledge of distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).Strong understanding of security best practices for microservices and cloud-native applications.Proficiency in using AI pair-programmers and engineering assistants (specifically GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code) to optimize workflow efficiency and accelerate problem-solving Additional informationPay Range: $160,000 - $195,000The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient.
