Works with a variety of people and organizations on a professional level to provide care to patients and the community./ppstrongSign On Bonus $5000.00 (If Full Time Criteria is met) 2 - 24 hour shifts per week = 48 hours per week./strong/ppEssential functions include:/pulliProvides pre-hospital, emergency patient care within the scope of practice of an EMT-Paramedic within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania./liliAccurately completes all patient care documentation adequately according to DOH and department guidelines and requirements within a twenty-four hour timeframe./liliOperates emergency vehicles with the Pennsylvania laws governing the operation of such vehicles./liliPerforms routine inspections as required, inventory, and maintenance of all patient care equipment./liliPerforms station duties as needed and assigned./liliMaintains familiarity with, and follows all rules of the hospitals policies and procedures as outlined in the administrative and department policy and procedure manuals./liliAgrees to comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the position and has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law or the standards of conduct to his or her immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer./li/ulpReporting relationship:/ppReports to: Shift Supervisor Supervises: None/ppQualifications:/ppMinimum of 21 years of age./ppHigh school diploma or equivalent or higher./ppValid PA Department of Health Certification as an ALS provider, and remain eligible for medical command authorization./ppMaintain current successful course completion at all times in the following programs:/pulliBasic Cardiac Life Support;/liliAdvanced Cardiac Life Support;/liliPediatric Advanced Life Support; and/liliPrehospital Trauma/Basic Trauma Life Support./li/ulpValid drivers license./ppMust not have been convicted within the last four (4) years of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and within the last two (2) years, has not been convicted of reckless driving, or had a drivers license suspended under the point system./ppEmergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) completion./ppHAZMAT RI training within one (1) year of the date of employment./ppMeet all additional requirements as identified by the PA DOH./ppGood customer service skills; able to exhibit cooperative communication with other employees, hospital consumers, and outside organizations who utilize CHEMS./ppWorking conditions include:/pulliPhysical environment includes working in all ranges of inclement weather conditions, during all hours of the day./liliSpecific rescue situations may present variable amounts of noise and potentially dangerous work settings during patient care and disentanglement and extrication./liliHazards may include exertion in lifting and transferring patients, exposure to infectious conditions, and occasionally working in the vicinity of moving vehicle traffic, power rescue equipment, toxic chemicals, and high voltage./liliMust be alert to potential violent patient responses./li/ulpEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
