Material Handler

GENERAL PURPOSE: Set up each operator with the required materials for the particular product being produced (e.g., paper, inks, etc.) per job ticket and schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

\u2022 Reviews job tickets and schedule, then organizes and prepares loads.

\u2022 Operates aerator effectively.

\u2022 Pulls and puts away product and supplies for machines as needed

\u2022 Operates a pallet jack effectively

\u2022 Communicates effectively with operators.

\u2022 Follows instructions and works with operators when required.

\u2022 Breaks down the required product and materials for the machine.

\u2022 Sets up each machine with the materials needed for the run.

\u2022 Reviews job bag instructions for re-verification.

\u2022 Stocks and unstocks loads.

\u2022 Maintains assigned areas of the department (e.g., sweeping, emptying trash cans, etc.) as needed.

\u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

\u2022 Must possess the following competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management, and self-motivation.

\u2022 Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.

\u2022 Must have the ability to operate a manual pallet jack

\u2022 Must have the ability to learn how to thin weight stocks handle/jog.

\u2022 Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

\u2022 Must be able to read a tape measure and ruler.

\u2022 Must pass basic reading test.

\u2022 Must have basic mathematical skills.

\u2022 Must have basic computer skills (email, word processing, data entry, etc.)

\u2022 Must be able to maintain good attendance.

\u2022 Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

\u2022 Must be reliable and dependable.

\u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
