Job Description

Sign on Bonus: $5,000 Shift: Nights 7p-7a Applies slings, sling-n-swathe, orthopedic splints, and dressings with proper competencies. Transports unmonitored patients to inpatient departments and stables monitored patients to PCU/med-tele, or accompanies registered nurse to transport patients to specialty units. Assists physician or registered nurse with procedures and exams, including setup and cleanup for sutures, pelvic exams, lumbar punctures, and application of orthopedic splints and casting. Performs hourly rounding on patients to keep them informed, ensures they have call bells, pillows, blankets as needed, and that caregiver names are on the boards. Observes and documents the condition of infusion sites and removes IV lines as directed by registered nurse.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant areas Knowledge of regulatory requirements Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals Ability to remain calm and focused during in stressful and/or emotionally charged situations Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to be highly detail oriented

Education: Associate [Preferred]

Work Experience: 1+ emergency department or pre-hospital paramedic experience [Preferred] Monitor Tech cross-training [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required] Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required] Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]

Pay Range: $20.58 - $32.92
