Field Service - Transfusion Service Ambassador-- Houston, TX
$31.75 - $63.55 per hourAbbott
Field service engineer position supporting diagnostic instruments in transfusion medicine. Provides technical support, manages customer relationships, and drives revenue growth across laboratory accounts in the Houston or San Marcos area with up to 75% travel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary on-site technical representative for Abbott Diagnostics customers
- Perform instrument installations, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Manage end-to-end issue resolution and coordinate with internal support teams
- Conduct customer business reviews and identify training and operational improvement opportunities
- Drive revenue growth through service sales, menu expansion, and customer retention activities
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent education and work experience
- Minimum 2 years supporting laboratory or blood bank instrumentation
- Minimum 2 years customer-facing technical or service support experience
- Ability to reside within 30 minutes of Houston or San Marcos, TX
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Experience with instrument installations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Proficiency with CRM, service management systems, and Microsoft Office (preferred)
Compensation: $31.75 – $63.55/hour
