Position Responsibilities

• Assess patients from pediatric through geriatric populations utilizing standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions directed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, healthcare providers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their recovery journey.
• Keep precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Remain updated with advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative discussions with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been obtained.

Licensure and Certification

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
