Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a Free-Standing Emergency Department requiring 3+ years of experience and ARRT or RDMS certification.

Job Details

• Free-standing emergency department (FSED) setting serving inpatients and outpatients,
• Provides diagnostic sonography services under the direction of a radiologist and departmental protocols,
• Performs abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms,
• Proficient in scanning small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum,
• Performs ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations,
• Monday through Friday schedule from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM,
• On-call responsibilities typically 1-2 times per week,
• 13-week assignment,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist,
• BLS certification required,
• ARRT certification and/or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) required,
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school,
• State license required if applicable,
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start,
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius will not be considered,
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position,
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
