Mentorship and ongoing support will be provided, particularly within your first year, ensuring that you are equipped to excel in your role.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.Assist physical therapists in implementing interventions that may include therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, hands-on treatment techniques, and the use of specialized equipment.Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, expected recovery outcomes, and techniques for integrating exercises into daily routines.Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting and modifying care plans as necessary to ensure optimum recovery trajectories.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses—to ensure cohesive patient care and recovery strategies.Patient Population / Client FocusThe patients you will work with primarily include those recovering from orthopedic injuries and conditions related to physical and rehabilitation medicine. With a focus on restoring functional mobility, your work will significantly impact the lives of individuals from varying backgrounds, including active adults and seniors. You will help facilitate their recovery, guiding them through their therapeutic journeys and enabling them to achieve their personal health milestones.QualificationsBachelor's degree with a focus on physical therapy from an accredited institution.Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license, which is required upon employment.Completion of PTA AS (Associate of Science) or PTA AA (Associate of Arts) program is mandatory.Preferred ExperienceWhile a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required, we are particularly interested in candidates who possess exposure to hospital settings, particularly in orthopedics and rehabilitation fields. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and a proactive attitude toward patient engagement will be highly beneficial.Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation for this full-time position ranges from $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
