About the Position

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Mammography Tech Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7.5 hours (08:00 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Radiologic licensure required Certifications: A.R.R.T. certification in mammography strongly preferred Must-Have: MQSA certified, experience with screening and diagnostic mammography Description: The position involves working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. There is a 30-minute unpaid lunch break included. This role is a 17-week assignment covering a leave of absence. The candidate should be MQSA certified with experience in both screening and diagnostic mammography. Graduates of an accredited educational program in allied health are required. Some college education is preferred. Candidates must hold a radiologic license issued by the state health department. A certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in mammography is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate should have skills in 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, and digital mammography. Experience with digital quality assurance procedures and Hologic equipment is advantageous. Candidates must be knowledgeable in patient care practices, including infection control and isolation precautions. This position requires working with adult and geriatric patient populations. The role does not include the need for weekend coverage or on-call responsibilities.
