About the Role:
The Pipe Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and coordinating all piping installation activities on construction sites across the United States. This position ensures that all piping work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The Pipe Foreman is responsible for managing a team of pipefitters and laborers, providing technical guidance, and maintaining high-quality workmanship throughout the project lifecycle. They collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and safety personnel to resolve issues and optimize workflow. Ultimately, the Pipe Foreman ensures timely completion of piping systems that meet operational requirements and client expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipefitting or piping installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Pipefitter or Welding certification.
- Experience working on large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Proficiency with project management software and digital documentation tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills demonstrated through previous supervisory roles.
- Additional safety certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or First Aid/CPR.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of pipefitters and related personnel to ensure adherence to project plans and safety protocols.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute piping installation and maintenance tasks accurately.
- Coordinate with project management and other trades to schedule work, allocate resources, and resolve any onsite challenges.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain detailed records of work progress, materials used, and labor hours to support project documentation and reporting.

Leadership skills are essential for managing and motivating a diverse team, resolving conflicts, and maintaining productivity under tight deadlines. Problem-solving abilities are applied to troubleshoot installation issues and adapt plans as needed to maintain project momentum. Additionally, a thorough understanding of safety protocols ensures a secure work environment, minimizing risks and promoting compliance.
