Fleming’s Auto Services is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated individual to join our team as a Cashier / Customer Service Associate. This position is a key part of delivering the exceptional experience we pride ourselves on, offering customers quality service at the pump, in the store, and at the register.

This role goes beyond just cashiering—it includes food prep, cleaning, fuel operations, and maintaining the overall appearance and function of our convenience store and fueling area. Key Responsibilities:

Cashiering & Customer Service

• Greet every customer warmly and ensure a positive shopping experience.

• Accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.

• Process fuel sales, car wash codes, lottery tickets, and other services.

• Answer customer questions regarding products, services, or fuel pumps.

Food Preparation

• Prepare and stock ready-to-eat food items (hot dogs, pizza, breakfast sandwiches, etc.) according to safety and quality standards.

• Ensure food prep areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.

• Monitor inventory levels of food products and assist in restocking as needed.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the convenience store, including shelves, coolers, coffee station, and restrooms.

• Perform routine cleaning of the fueling area, including trash removal, squeegee buckets, and pump handles.

• Complete regular checks on car wash operations and report any issues promptly.

• Assist with stocking shelves and rotating products to ensure freshness.

Fuel Operations

• Monitor fuel pumps for functionality and safety.

• Perform minor troubleshooting of pump issues and notify management of larger concerns.

• Ensure fuel signage, pump displays, and pricing are accurate and clearly visible.

Teamwork & Other Duties

• Follow opening, closing, and shift procedures consistently.

• Assist coworkers and managers in daily operations as needed.

• Uphold Fleming’s commitment to quality service, safety, and cleanliness.

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred, but not required.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.

• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required.
