Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and customer satisfaction. In this position, you’ll perform final inspections on precision components used in medical, aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial applications. You’ll work with both visual and dimensional inspection tools, identify defects, verify specifications, and maintain detailed quality records while collaborating closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform final inspections to confirm products meet quality standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures
• Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, cosmetic issues, and nonconformances
• Complete dimensional inspections using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and documented requirements
• Document inspection results, measurements, and defects with accuracy and clarity
• Maintain organized, complete inspection records in accordance with quality procedures
• Follow work instructions and inspection criteria with precision and consistency
• Communicate findings clearly to production and quality teams
• Provide timely feedback on quality trends and issues
• Support root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Use basic math to perform measurements, tolerance checks, and calculations
• Handle inspection tools safely and correctly
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Adapt to changing priorities and production deadlines

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing quality inspection or product inspection
• Strong visual inspection abilities
• Proficiency with microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• High attention to detail and a quality‑driven mindset
• Ability to follow written instructions and inspection criteria
• Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills
• Basic math skills for measurements and tolerance checks
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to stay focused in a fast‑paced environment
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to support issue resolution
• Ability to manage shifting priorities without sacrificing accuracy

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation
• Preferred certifications: IPC‑A‑600, IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001
• Experience in quality assurance or production quality checks
• Experience in assembly or production environments
• Comfort using microscopes and precision inspection equipment
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Work Environment

This role is based in a cleanroom manufacturing environment with a consistent first‑shift schedule. You’ll work closely with production and quality teams in a space designed for precision, cleanliness, and adherence to quality procedures. The dress code is casual but adapted as needed for cleanroom and safety standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
