Role Overview The Inpatient Services RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating clinically competent care for assigned patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The role involves delegating tasks to care staff, participating in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Role Overview The Inpatient Services RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating clinically competent care for assigned patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The role involves delegating tasks to care staff, participating in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and document data to adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide patient and family education on care and treatment procedures. Recognize changes in patient condition and collaborate with the healthcare team for appropriate interventions. Administer medications, monitor responses, and manage intradialytic transfusions, ensuring safety and compliance. Assist in emergency response and serve as a resource for staff training and orientation. Coordinate communication with dialysis providers and facility personnel to ensure continuity of care. Complete required training to advance within the Clinical Advancement Program. Qualifications And Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current state licensure. CPR/BLS certification. Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience, with preferred experience in nephrology or ICU. Ability to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and work in a healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials. Additional Duties:: Supervise and guide care staff as assigned after meeting specific experience and training requirements. Participate in on-call rotations, and travel between facilities as needed.
