JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the day‑to‑day operation of the enterprise data warehouse, including data ingestion, validation, refresh cadence, and availability. Manage and prioritize the data and BI backlog, balancing new development, governance activities, and operational support. Provide leadership and direction to BI and data resources, including work planning, review of deliverables, and quality assurance. Enforce data governance standards, including data quality rules, field approval processes, sensitivity classification, and access controls. Partner with business stakeholders to define authoritative data sources and reporting standards. Ensure documentation is maintained for data sources, integrations, refresh schedules, and known limitations. Coordinate with IS infrastructure and security teams to ensure data environments meet organizational security and compliance requirements. Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities within the data platform and recommend corrective actions.

SKILLS

Data warehouse operations and lifecycle management. Backlog management and prioritization using Agile or DevOps practices. Data governance, quality assurance, and compliance enforcement. Stakeholder communication and expectation management. Issue analysis, risk identification, and problem resolution. Documentation and process standardization. Ability to translate business requirements into structured, executable data work. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. 7‑10 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles. Demonstrated experience managing data, analytics, or BI teams in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with IBM i systems is a plus.
