Job Title: Class A Toolmaker Department: Toolroom / Manufacturing Location: Shelton, CT Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Employment Type: Full Time Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Summary We are seeking an experienced Class A Toolmaker to support a busy manufacturing operation with strong experience in progressive tooling and precision toolmaking. This role requires a highly skilled individual capable of working independently, troubleshooting tooling issues, and supporting production with minimal supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain tooling and dies Operate Proto-Track equipment and other toolroom machinery Support progressive tooling used in manufacturing operations Diagnose tooling issues and make necessary adjustments and repairs Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime Work independently in a fast paced manufacturing environment Ensure tooling meets quality and production standards Support continuous improvement and production efficiency efforts Qualifications, Education, and Experience Class A Toolmaker experience required Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Hands-on experience operating Proto-Track equipment Strong background with progressive tooling Advanced machining and troubleshooting skills Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment Milling, grinding, and machining experience Knowledge of tooling maintenance and repair best practices Work Environment Manufacturing and toolroom environment Exposure to machinery, tooling, and production equipment Must follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Physical Requirements Ability to stand throughout the shift Ability to lift tooling and work safely with machinery and equipment Required use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes #J-18808-Ljbffr Top Prospect Group LLC
