Sr. Estimator

Sr. Estimator – Full-Time | $110K–$120K Base + Bonus - Remote

An Adecco client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects while supporting successful project execution from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review bid invitations, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and related materials

• Develop comprehensive and competitive project estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and buyout items

• Prepare and price change orders for existing contracts while ensuring proper cost tracking

• Read and interpret bid instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications with accuracy and attention to detail

• Analyze project data and current market pricing to ensure accurate and competitive bids

• Coordinate with Purchasing to obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing and lead times

• Collaborate with Project Managers and senior leadership to ensure project costs align with budget expectations

• Meet with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, detailers, plant teams, and field crews to verify the accuracy and completeness of project drawings and specifications

• Assist in developing project schedules related to labor, materials, and production timelines

• Ensure all estimating documentation and project records are properly maintained to protect company interests

• Support company growth initiatives and help strengthen the company’s reputation and relationships with General Contractors and industry partners

Qualifications:

• 5 + years Previous estimating experience within structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals required

• Strong understanding of fabrication, construction methods, and blueprint reading

• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
