Cost Accounting Manager

Leading technology manufacturer based in North OC - 1 day per week in office Keys :We are looking for a Cost Accounting Manager from the manufacturing industry. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years in cost accounting - a heavy Senior Cost person or established Manager are the ideal profile sCost analysis, pricing and reporting for manufacturing operation s including PPV, COGS, gross margin analysis, et cPosition is responsible for providing analysis of standard costs, Bill of Materials, inventor y, material, labor & overhead variances, scrap, etc. and develop/enhance reports that serve to increase manufacturing efficiency and inventory turns .Must have excellent communication and be excited to learn. This position definitely has opportunity for growth The Cost Accounting Manager is a subject matter expert who records, analyzes, and reports all costs associated with manufacturing products, including standard costing, forecasting, and profitability analysis s.The position will partner with Manufacturing, Inventory, and the Finance team to ensure integrity and consistency in reporting and communication n.This is a hands-on individual-contributor role responsible for owning the company’s cost accounting processes. The position does not currently have direct report Cost Accounting & Product Cos tingDrive annual product costing roll and costing new products, including rate developm ent.Ensure accurate classification of direct materials, direct labor, manufacturing overhead, period expenses, and capital expenditures in accordance with company policy and GAAPAnalyze manufacturing cost variance and drive data-driven improveme nts.Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors where advantage ous.Own quarterly estimates for plant costs based on production plan and proactively communicate risks/opportunities and detailed variance explanations in a timely man ClosePrepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, inventory, and liabili ties.Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory and gross margin schedules to manage ment.Maintain internal documentation controls for inventory and cost of goods sold.Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, and inventory roll for Financial Analysis & Repo rtingPrepare, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly gross margin analysis by brand and by customer type.Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and ot Business Partnership & Operational Su pportTrack and influence optimal performance (cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability within the supply chain, and company- wide.Partner with the Production Manager to support operational decision-making and track key performance indicators to understand issues and develop solutions toge Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collabor ationEngage with teams to determine process implementation and improvem Qualifica tions:Bachelor’s degree in Accou nting.Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing enviro nment.Minimum of 6 years of progressive overall exper ience.Strong cost systems backg round.Excellent analytical skills with detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and follow-th rough.Sound understanding of cost accounting princ kills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex analysis in a simpl e way.Highly organized with strong attention to d etail.Demonstrated successful experience working as a member of a high-performance sophy.Best business practices mi ndset.Demonstrated expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variances, and month-end close proc #J-18808-Ljbffr Blake-Ryan & Associates
