The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Production Associate position is responsible for assisting mill operators, operating side loaders, and other warehouse duties as assigned. A strong work ethic and adherence to all safety processes is essential.Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environmentSafely operating a variety of power tools including electric and pneumaticBanding and clearing all lines and placing products in outside racksMarks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate wasteMaintains continuous improvement practices in work area.Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality SystemsRead a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedulesTeam player and keeping safety firstMay be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team LeaderWilling/able to work overtimeQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environmentA minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipmentGood Communication SkillsBasic Computer SkillsExperience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail gunsAble to use of measuring gaugesAble to read a tape measureFlexible with working overtime and weekends when neededAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAdditional InformationSite Address: 14213 Whittram Ave., Fontana, CA 92335This is a position with the potential of overtime.
