This role focuses on product preparation, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well‐stocked department.**Join a community. Build a career.****What will you be doing?*** Provide excellent service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering product suggestions.* Stock, rotate, cull, and merchandise produce to maintain freshness and visual appeal.* Prepare items such as cut fruit, packaged vegetables, and other ready‐to‐sell products following food safety standards.* Monitor product quality and remove items that do not meet freshness guidelines.* Maintain a clean, organized work area, including coolers, prep spaces, and sales floor displays.* Follow all safety, sanitation, and equipment‐handling procedures.* Assist with inventory counts, backroom organization, and receiving product deliveries.* Support department goals by executing merchandising plans and seasonal displays.* Communicate effectively with team members and leaders to ensure smooth daily operations.* Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall store needs.**What skills will you use?*** You are detail-oriented and organized.* Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.* Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.* Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.* Process-driven with ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.* Ability to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment.* Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.* Ability to stand for long periods of time.**Meijer starts with me.**It's not just a brand name, it’s a family name.
